Hello! I’m Jasmine, the founder of Countryside Connect CIC. I’m lucky to share this journey with my partner, David—a dedicated farm contractor—and our three spirited little girls: Lilly, Daisy, and Primrose. They are my greatest inspiration, and together, we embrace the beauty, lessons, and rhythms of the countryside through home education and hands-on experiences with nature.
My own journey started in town, but as I grew up, the countryside became my heart’s home. I wasn’t surrounded by animals as a child, but my love for them was undeniable. I started small—with a gerbil, then a cat, then a dog—until I finally found my lifelong passion: a pony. That love shaped my future, leading me to a career in horses, where I eventually met David. Through him, I stepped into the world of farming—one I had always admired but never quite knew how to access. Now, I’m proud to be the shepherdess of an award-winning flock and to work alongside my incredible sheepdog, Rosie. Training her has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and now, we’ve begun competing in sheepdog trials—something I never dreamed I’d do! We also have a cheeky young pup who is just starting her journey to becoming a working farm dog, and I can’t wait to see her grow.
Countryside Connect CIC was born from my deep-rooted belief that every child—every person—should have the chance to experience the magic of nature and the bond that comes with being around animals. In today’s fast-moving world, so many children never get the chance to bottle-feed a lamb, hear the cluck of a hen, or feel the soft breath of a pony against their hand. These moments are more than just fun—they spark curiosity, build confidence, and create lasting connections with the natural world.
That’s why we are a Community Interest Company (CIC)—because this isn’t just a business. It’s a mission. Every penny we make goes straight back into providing more free and low-cost visits for schools and community groups, ensuring that every child, regardless of background or circumstances, gets the chance to experience farm life firsthand.
For me, this isn’t just work—it’s my heart. I know firsthand how life-changing a connection with animals and nature can be. It’s grounding, healing, and full of lessons that no classroom alone can teach. My dream is for every child to have that same opportunity—to feel the joy, wonder, and peace that comes from being outside, surrounded by the sights, sounds, and rhythms of the countryside.
By choosing to support Countryside Connect CIC—whether by booking a visit, attending an event, or simply spreading the word—you’re not just supporting a business. You’re helping to change lives. You’re helping us bring the countryside to those who need it most.
Together, we can reconnect people with nature—one visit at a time.
