Spring is one of the most magical times on the farmāa season of new beginnings, fresh blooms, and the arrival of our newest farm residents: lambs! As the weather warms and the fields turn green, lambing season begins in full swing, bringing excitement, care, and a whole lot of fluffy joy.
The Start of New Life
Lambing season is a busy yet rewarding time for farmers. Each ewe (female sheep) is monitored closely as she prepares to give birth. From the first signs of labor to the lambās first wobbly steps, every moment is filled with anticipation. Within minutes of being born, lambs usually begin to stand and search for their motherās milk.
The Bond Between Ewe and Lamb
One of the most heartwarming parts of lambing season is watching the bond form between a ewe and her newborn. The mother gently nudges her lamb, encouraging it to stand, and the lamb responds with soft bleatsānatureās way of building a lifelong connection.
A Symbol of Hope and Renewal
For many, lambing season represents growth and renewal. Schools, families, and visitors often love to learn about the lambing process, making spring the perfect time for educational farm visits or outdoor learning experiences.
